PLATINUM PERFORMANCE REPORTS KEYSVILLE

John Goodman

Stacy Roberts

Shawn Hill

The start of 2006’s Platinum Performance Mountain Bike Team season was marked by the Keysville Classic. This classic has been running for 19 years in Keysville, near Lake Isabella. It was a loop of 8.1 miles with singletrack and steep climbs. The lap had 321.6m of vertical gain. Keysville has a variety of special categories including vintage cross-country and downhill for bikes between 10 and 19 years, and 20 years and older. These classes could be very popular with other race groups.

Platinum Performance had 16 riders competing in various categories. Shawn Hill (Beg 30-39), Ian Mcfarland, Stacy Roberts (Sport Women 19, 29), and Luke Werkhoven were the standout performers. All of them placed 1st in respective categories. Harrison Davis (Sport 15-under) came in 2nd. John Goodman (Sport 50-60) and Bob Nisbet, Expert 40-49, both finished 3rd. It was a great start to the long season ahead.
